Words and Illustration to Feed Your Memory:

Memorization can be easy if you use proper and applicable methods. But, it can also be very difficult if you try to force tons of information to your brain, all at the same time. Luckily, there are different memorization techniques available for everyone which can be easily done. All it takes is proper timing and consistency.

One effective way to remember simple memorization tasks is to use association to familiarize something "new" to the mind of the student. For example, if memorization of dates in history or price amount of five items or so in a grocery list is the needed task at hand, labeling it with one or two words that pertain to its entirety is simply what is needed. A simple way of using it is to create distinct words that could trigger your memory of the correct group of words you are trying to recall.

Important errands of the day can be labeled as "highly urgent", "top priority" or "day won't end unless accomplished". It can be daunting words but it is quite essential to how you can get by with the entire tasks of the day by just keeping in mind a few set of these. There can be a drawback here though, using words that are not familiar to you can be an issue. Don't attempt to use words that you, yourself, don't actually use for daily conversation. A history lesson can be associated with words such as monarchy, war, invention and discovery. You can choose which words apply best for you so you won't have any problem retrieving it later on.

On the contrary, you can also use settings or illustration that can remind you of the specific words you need to remember. For example, picture yourself living in a house made of wood without electricity or perhaps visualize the ships at the port as the wind sail type. These scenarios can easily remind you of a date back in time. You can use a wider range of imagination if you want to be specific so don't hesitate to customize whatever your mind needs, be it words or illustration.
